NECROPHAGIA's KILLJOY, MACHETAZO's DOPI To Guest On BONE GNAWER Debut

January 5, 2009

Frank "Killjoy" Pucci of NECROPHAGIA and Dopi (real name: José M. Dopico) of Spain's MACHETAZO will contribute guest vocals to the debut album from BONE GNAWER, the Swedish/American project featuring Rogga Johansson of RIBSPREADER/PAGANIZER and Kam Lee of DENIAL FIEND/MASSACRE. Kam Lee is tracking the vocals at Erik Rutan's (HATE ETERNAL) Mana Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida while the rest of the recordings are being done at Ronnie Bjornstrom's Enhance Audio Productions in Sweden.

Commented Kam Lee: "Hell fuck yeah!! The legendary demon vocalist himself — the one and only Killjoy of the horror/death metal band NECROPHAGIA — has added his shrieks of tormented madness to the track 'Defleshed & Skinned'! It's a great, great honor to have the legendary Killjoy join in on vocals on this track... and his added vile vocal sickness only adds yet another level of pure sheer terror and horror to an already brutal song!

"It's been a fantastic and great honor to have all of these 'special guest vocalista' join in on us in BONE GNAWER songs — and this is a tradition we wish to continue with on each and every release we do in the future — to have 'special guest musicians' join in with us on the horror and terror that is BONE GNAWER!

"That's right, freaks — the fantastic Spanish master of murder Dopi from the killer, kick-ass old-school-style grindcore/death band MACHETAZO will be doing a 'special guest vocal appearance' on the BONE GNAWER track 'Hammer To The Skull' — and there couldn't be a better track for this insane brother of evil to appear on! Nothing but pure hellish angry vocals is just what we needed for this track, and Dopi is more then eager to supply a grand dose of pure hostile hatred for it! We look forward to having our brother Dopi on this track with us, and we hope you fans will enjoy this as well.

"If you're still not familiar with the great MACHETAZO — you need to be! Their new album, 'Mundo Cripta', is a masterpiece of pure old-school-style grindcore/death metal — the way it was meant to be played!"

According to the group's official bio, BONE GNAWER's music is "a simple assault of old-school style '90s Swedish death metal with other pure classic death metal influences and influences of classic '80s-style death-thrash, while the lyrics twisting on the bizarre, insane, and utter macabre world of modern cannibals and psychotic serial killers; as well as taking loose influences from horror movies with the same themes. With a lyrical touch of dark humor and a blend of catchy but horrific hooks and guitar riffing that is just pure aggressive straight-forward old-style death metal, BONE GNAWER's style is sure to draw you in comfortably close and then relentlessly smash away at your skull with a hammer, cleave your body into seperate parts, and then cook you up on a grill for cannibal consumption!"

BONE GNAWER is:

Kam Lee: Vocals
Rogga Johansson: Bass
Ronnie Björnström: Guitar
Morgan Lie: Drums
